Brian Halber, Chief Financial Officer

Brian Halber brings more than 20 years of nonprofit finance leadership experience to his role as Chief Financial Officer. Throughout his career, he has served in senior finance positions including Controller, Director of Finance and AVP of Finance, leading accounting operations, strengthening internal controls, and supporting strategic growth across mission-driven organizations.

Brian has extensive experience in nonprofit accounting, financial reporting, audit oversight, and regulatory compliance. He has worked with organizations ranging from mid-sized to complex, multi-entity structures, including those with real estate and affordable housing. Known for his structured, systems-oriented approach, Brian focuses on improving operational efficiency, enhancing financial transparency, and building strong, collaborative finance teams.

He is committed to aligning financial strategy with organizational mission, ensuring that leadership and the board have clear, timely information to support decision-making. Brian is also passionate about leveraging technology and process improvements to modernize finance functions and create sustainable long-term value.

Brian is both a Certified Public Accountant and has Master of Public Administration from SUNY Albany.
