Ralph Declet is the founder and principal of MBT, a mission and community driven real estate development consulting firm. The company is engaged in affordable, supportive and market rate multifamily housing development in the New York City area.
MBT collaborates and partners with organizations that have similar missions, including not-for-profit organizations, other MBE developers and public/private property owners. In addition to his role as the managing member, Mr. Declet is engaged in new business development and scaling the operations of MBT.

Mr. Declet was responsible for providing leadership and management to a team of professionals in all aspects for Acacia’s housing development activities including affordable housing, supportive housing and property management for Acacia owned residential buildings.
Mr. Declet recruited and lead the team of professionals to build and scale Acacia’s housing development capacity in new construction, gut rehab and in place rehabilitation of affordable residential buildings. During his tenure with the Acacia Network Mr. Declet and the team successfully completed projects comprised of new construction and various levels of building renovations. The development team under the direction of Mr. Declet secured funding exceeding $400 million comprised of LIHTC, bank loans and other funding sources.

Milenio Financial Services Inc.
Mr. Declet was a founder and managing member of the company that provided financial consulting services and strategic planning to small real estate developers and emerging small businesses in various industry sectors. The company focused on providing services to minority owned businesses operating in underserved communities.
Milenio’s mission was to improve the client’s business performance. This included strategic and operating analysis to formulate viable business planning. The company played a key role in guiding clients in the process of securing loans and/or capital to sustain and grow their businesses. Milenio worked with local banks, the SBA and credit unions to secure in excess of $50 million on behalf of clients.
Citicorp provided Mr. Declet with significant opportunities to learn and build his business experience and management capabilities. He joined the company as an entry level manager. His desire to learn combined with his tenacity to succeed provided him job opportunities and mobility in a very competitive professional environment.
During his tenure with Citibank, he was promoted to Vice President in recognition of his accomplishments. He held various senior management positions in back-office operations, information services and lead acquisition efforts on two data processing service companies.

Recent Notable Training:
- In October 2021 MBT was selected to participate in HPD’s M/WBE and Nonprofit Developer Capacity Building Workshop. MBT successfully completed the program in May 2022. HPD has acknowledged MBT’s participation in the program and is listed as a W/MBE firm as part of HPD’s capacity building program.
- In June 2022 MBT was accepted into the LISC NYC Developers of Color Training Program. The goal of this very competitive program is to help Minority-Owned Business Enterprise developers to expand their capacity and access to capital. At the conclusion of the program in August 2022, MBT was successfully matched to an investor to fund the scaling of MBT.
