Nick Capowski

Nick has more than 15 years of experience in commercial real estate and finance, with a career focused on building and financing housing in New York City and supporting complex, mission-driven development.
In his current role at a New York–based real estate development firm, Nick leads the financing strategy for a real estate portfolio that includes approximately 13,000 apartments and a large pipeline of new development across NYC, with an emphasis on projects that expand housing supply and support long-term neighborhood stability. Nick has helped finance more than $8 billion of large-scale real estate developments, including projects utilizing Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, tax-exempt bond financing, and public-private capital structures. He works closely with New York City agencies and stakeholders to navigate complex approvals and financing programs that help make affordable and supportive housing possible.
Prior to his current role, Nick spent eight years in J.P. Morgan’s Real Estate Banking group, where he financed commercial real estate projects for institutional clients across the US.
Nick holds an MS in Risk Management from New York University, an MBA in Finance from Fordham University, and a BBA in Finance from Iona University.
