Jason Soto is Director of Development and Alumni Relations for the Mount Sinai Health System in New York City. In this role, he implements an array of fundraising and public relations strategies that boost the profile and visibility of alumni with their innovative breakthroughs in medicine and technology. He provides strategic vision to key leadership within the health system while engaging alumni in the cutting-edge evolution of the medical school.
Mr. Soto has a vast background in management and fundraising with over 15 years of successful experience in all aspects of fundraising, board development, direct marketing, change management, public relations, marketing, advertising and crisis communications. He has led award winning direct marketing and brand awareness campaigns, recognized both regionally and nationally.
Previously, Mr. Soto held senior leadership positions with Lutheran Services of New York,
Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens, and at the national level for Catholic Charities USA.
During his tenure at Catholic Charities, he also coordinated public relations and development in
conjunction with the Papal state visit.
Mr. Soto is bilingual (Spanish) and holds a Master’s degree in Latin American Studies from the
State University of New York and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology/Anthropology from
the College of the Holy Cross. A native New Yorker, he is an avid Yankees and Jets fan and
enjoys cooking, reading and having fun with his wife and young son.
